Hello friends! I hope we are feeling good. Myself? Well, I'm feeling considerably better, having spent much of the day walking, which always puts me in a good mood, reading The Sandman comics by Neil Gaiman and researching Universities, something that I really should have done some time ago. Currently, I am torn between: Huddersfield, Dundee, Aberdeen, Brunel, Napier Edinburgh, Hull and Stirling. Unfortunately, I can't seem to narrow them down to the requisite five.
Anyway, I'm about to move on to the meat of this post, which is good considering the last few have had astonishingly little meat to them and were mostly vegetables, and seeing as we are not vegetarians, this is not a good thing... Must remember not to extend my metaphors too much.
Moving on. I have just been watching the outrageously talented Mr Alan Partridge on his television show I'm Alan Partridge. At the end of the show he suggested to the gentleman from the BBC he was trying to get work from a series of show that grew more and more desperate. Well, ever the one to shamelessly rip off someone else's comedic genius, I've thought of a couple of my own:
1. Drugged Up: 10 members of the British public are placed in a room and each one is given a different drug. They each have to guess what drug they have been given and if they get them all correct the get a lifetime supply of a drug of their choice. (The twist is, one of the drugs is always fatal). Hosted by me and John Romero.
2. Date Night: Ordinary members of the British public are made to go on a date with someone with one incredibly irritating character trait, such as talking very loudly, outrageous political views, is actually a large bear, is naked. After the night of romance is over, they are given £300. Hosted by me and the date for the evening.
3. Axe You a Question: Think Mastermind, only with the loser being axed. Hosted by me and Mr T.
4. I Want My Mummy!: Light sitcom set in ancient Egypt. Starring me and Madonna.
5. Dangerous Tramp: Similar to Gladiators, except using the homeless and actually fatal weapons and traps. Who will be crowned the Dangerous Tramp?! Hosted by me and a large African mountain gorilla.
Rejected ideas include:
Not the Naked News
Midget or Baby
Rainbow Face
Make Me Cry!
Help Me! I'm Falling!
Jesus: Man or Machine?
Monkey Olympics (Monkolympics?)
Son of Satin
Kitten Wars
Jack Black vs the Oregon Male Voice Choir
Mr Miyagi and the Gummy Bears
Crazy Cat Lady: The Story of a Genius
I Am Very Small
In Case of Zombies
Incidentally, if you are from the BBC and are interested in pursuing any of these projects, I'm happy to offer my services.
Good night everybody!
