Well, well, well. The very day after I comment on the current reprehensible tendency for me to churn out these posts much too late and would you just look at what time it is! Although, of course, it may not actually be that late whenever you're reading this, but it certainly was (Is? Damn confusing tenses...) late when I posted it.
However, I do have a reason for my tardiness: I went to my grandparent's house today, as I do near every Thursday. I took with me my laptop and a film to watch as I often do whilst my mother is talking with my grandparents and my sister is watching television. In this instance, I brought in Schindler's List. Now, when I watch a film, I watch it in one go. I've been know to stay up all night if necessary, but every time I will make every attempt not to split up the action. When I started watching it, it was seven o' clock and, boy, that film is long. I had to pause it while we drove home, but other than that I decided that I will get to the end tonight, hence the delay.
It was the first time I'd watched Schindler's List and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I suppose I'll have to do a review of it sometime soon in addition to my Gran Torino review. It has also given me a very interesting idea for a post that, due to its rather serious subject matter, I'm not convinced would be appropriate for this particular blog. Hmm, perhaps I should start another Parallel blog to deal with the more philosophical and dark thoughts that I occasionally have, if that didn't sound too pretentious. Well, I'll see how it goes.
Today, I had another Drama lesson where we got even further with the first scene. In Biology, I ended up writing a bit more of my Drama script (Sorry Biology teachers). In English Literature I learnt a bit more about metaphor and in English Language we were left to "research" some words. So all in all a good day.
Well, since it's now technically Friday, I suppose I should be signing off. Good night, readers.
