I Get Excited, then Act as Chamerone

Hello, readers. I hope we're all feeling happy and content. It must be known that when I have occasion to imagine you, my readership (both of you. Wow, that joke has so much mileage!) I tend to picture you all in extravagant living rooms with trophies from your accomplished lives, a roaring fireplace and several hunting dogs at your feet wearing a dressing-gown, pyjamas, spectacles and a glass of brandy. I hope that this image is close to the truth.

Anyway, I suppose I better continue to break down my day as I normally do. Well, I was positively ecstatic this morning as, if you remember, I was working on my Drama and Chemistry homework yesterday (if you are short of memory or are reading this blog for the first time, you may wish to scroll down to yesterday's entry). The fact that I had actually completed a piece of work given to me more than 2 minutes before the deadline gave me an immense sense of freedom and happiness that saw me right through to my third period where I realised that in my excitement I had neglected to do my English Language homework.

"I trust everyone has brought in their piece of text to analyse," Says my teacher, or words to that effect "Joe?"

"Ye-es, it's right..." brief desperate rummage through my bag, "Here!"

"An extract from 1984?"

"... Yes."

Thank goodness, scot-free.

Until break came around:

"Joe, did you complete the English Lit homework?"

"... Hmm?"

"Annotating that 1984 extract."

"... Ye-es. But let me look at your to see if they're the same."

I swear, I'm the most useless person I know. But that resolved itself, as I tend to find most things do. I walked part of the way home with my two friends Jonny and Sophie which is... awkward given their limpet-like attachment to one another, and part of the way with my sister and her friend which led to some surreal if not particularly interesting conversation.

I visited my father who is unfortunately in hospital with an infected hand and had a McDonalds on the way back. So, all in all a fairly uninteresting day, really.

There is a curse in China that roughly translates as: "May you live in interesting times." I don't know about you, but I could actually do with some interesting times right now. Good Evening.
