Greetings, faithful readers! I trust you are well since last I blathered.
I'm afraid that this post will probably be decidedly shorter than most, for you see I rather foolishly assumed that since today was the day that I was meant to be returning to college but didn't as a result of the teachers announcing an inset day, that today would be filled with amazing activities most bloggable as I celebrate 24-hours stolen from the maw of the education system. Of course, I neglected that I am a hopelessly lazy young man who has just spent the last few hours lounging about in a dressing-gown.
That's not to say that I didn't make the effort! By golly, no! I am far too dedicated to my readers (both of you) to not at least try to make something entertaining occur today.
First of all, I went into town, a fairly notable experience for me, considering that I leave the house to go to anywhere other than college on average once a fortnight. My intention was to go out and pick up some more hay-fever pills (Hey, hey! Continuity!) and to contact my local Game store in order to make inquiries as to why my Xbox 360 controller has simply stopped working. My thoughts were that both these activities would at least provide a semi-regaling story, but unfortunately not; I got my usual 2-for-1 deal on the pills and the man in Game said he had no idea what was wrong with my remote and that it may have simply stopped working. I drank my obligatory cappuccino at Café Nero and left.
Realising that nothing blog-worthy had happened today, I made one last-ditch effort and took my dog for a walk. Now! Surely something interesting would happen! I don't know if you're the same, but I always seem to get life-changing epiphanies when I walk for any length of time, especially through the semi-mythical woods around my house. However, since I was having a life-changing epiphany every 10-feet (probably due to oxygen deprivation as I tried to haul my sorry carcass up a hill) I somehow feel that they would not be of any particular philosophical merit.
So, in the end, I came how, started watching the new series of The IT Crowd and ate more Fish and Chips then was truly healthy of me.
So that's it really, a fairly average, uninteresting day. Hopefully tomorrow will prove more fruitful; I'll get my AS level results tomorrow which is partly why I'm nigh on suicidal about going back. Ah well, the great educational maw has demanded another year's sacrifice and if I don't give it up it would only go mouldy.
Good day, everyone.
