Send in the Clones! (The Broadway Musical)

Oh, good evening my dear internet friends. I'm presuming once again that you are collectively fine, if a little tired and disgruntled as I am forced to continue to assume until science finds a way of cloning me and placing a copy in each of your homes to regale you with tales customized to who you are and what you're doing and ones that are constantly changed as a gauge your reaction to my sentiments.

This system would undoubtedly lead to failure not only because it entails customized entertainment for the individual (something tat I personally believe to be quite a bad thing; it is only by seeing something not tailored to our world view that we can ever hope to expand that world view) but also because I don't think that with the economy in the fragile state that it's in could possibly support the inclusion in every household of an additional chubby, opinionated teenager demanding video games and coffee. It probably wouldn't be a good idea for me either as I'm sure that I'd grow existential, turn to alcoholism, join a support group entirely populated by my clones, I'd then turn myself around, do a documentary film (that would be made into a Broadway musical) about the clones entitled Send in the Clones! and finally write an autobiography / philosophy book entitled I Am Legion (For We Are Many) in which I would reveal the real gritty facts about the rumours that one of the clones had died at my hands and queries as to whether or not I was the genuine Joseph Black, which, as you can see is a pretty busy schedule meaning that I'd have little time to write this blog.

Anyway, I'm feeling quite well also. Let me see now, what did I do today... hmm, I continued work on my personal statement which is proving to be a severe pain. I looked at morphology through the use of play-doh in English Language. In Biology I continued work on my dull, grass related coursework.

Oh! And I looked at the use of metaphor in text in English Literature, forming two metaphors for unusual topics in the process that I'm rather proud of to the point when I wonder if it would be too self-indulgent to write them down here. Hmm, oh go on, humour me, you can skip this part if you want.

The first was for rock climbing:
"Sometimes when rock climbing you see a route that would take you straight to the top, no worries. But to get to it, you have to stray a little into danger, maybe just unclip your harness for just a second, but then your home free. Some people stick climbing to the route there already on a try to ignore the near vertical path just inches away. I didn't."

The second one was for football:
"Some people when playing football think about how to win. They think about their own strengths and weaknesses and those of their team-mates and how they can most effectively use them to win the match, all while performing these very tactics and improvising when the need arises. Some people just chase the ball comfortable in the knowledge that they will never reach it and shout a lot to make up for the fact that they don't do anything. Alan was that kind of player."

As I say, please forgive this stroking of my own ego, but I enjoyed writing them and have little else to offer you. Incidentally, I know nothing about rock-climbing and even less about football so you may have to forgive a few factual discrepancies.

Also, today I began my radio training, meaning I could be back on the air soon! Huzzah!

Anyway, it's much too late now for me to be up in front of a glowing monitor so, Goodnight all.
